About Me
Kaitlin Seitz, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. She obtained her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. She then went on to complete her internal medicine residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she won multiple awards including the Ira M. Goldstein Award for resident teaching and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, before going on to serve as Chief Medical Resident. She subsequently completed her specialty training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center, where she served as Chief Fellow and was heavily involved in the education of fellows, residents, and medical students.
Dr. Seitz comes to Mount Sinai Manhasset after practicing for two years at New York Presbyterian/ Weill Cornell Medical College, where she practiced both inpatient and outpatient pulmonary medicine with a focus on airways disease, in order to work closer to home and serve the Long Island community in which she lives. In her practice, she sees a wide variety of pulmonary disease including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis, obstructive sleep apnea, pleural effusion, lung nodules, lung cancer, pulmonary embolism, and respiratory failure. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine and is a member of the American Thoracic Society and the American College of Chest Physicians.
