About Me

Kashmira Rustomji, MD, MPH completed her medical training at Ross University School of Medicine. She went onto a general psychiatry residency training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Rustomji also completed her Master of Public Health from SUNY Downstate. She received fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry from Yale University.  Dr. Rustomji has focused many of her extracurricular activities on mental health advocacy and outreach. She is certified and trained in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy and child and family traumatic stress intervention. Dr. Rustomji is highly interested in health care delivery, public health and improving access and quality of mental health care. Dr. Rustomji joined the Mount Sinai faculty at the Adolescent Health Center and will be working with the mental health teams to evaluate, diagnose and treat youth with mental illnesses. She specializes in trauma, anxiety, depression, transgender mental health, LGBTQ mental health, early psychosis, and all other conditions related to youth psychiatric illness.
