About Me
Soore is a fourth-year MD-PhD student from Rainbow City, Alabama, whoe graduated from Harvard University where he majored in biomedical engineering. During his time at Harvard, he joined the Mooney Lab for Cell and Tissue Engineering, where he contributed to work understanding how cellular environment can direct cell fate and function. After graduation, he worked as a research associate in the Huebsch Lab of Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering where he investigated the interplay of substrate stiffness and genetics on heart function, using engineered heart muscle.
As an MSTP student, he has joined the Han Laboratory, where he is now investigating the mechanism of mechanosensation in muscle specific mesenchymal stem cells during muscle regeneration.
Outside of the lab and classroom, Soore enjoys playing soccer, rock climbing, and cooking/baking.

Industry Relationships
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology companies, and other outside entities to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their outside financial relationships.
Dr. OGUNTUYO has not yet completed reporting of Industry relationships.
Mount Sinai’s faculty policies relating to faculty collaboration with industry are posted on our website. Patients may wish to ask their physician about the activities they perform for companies.
