About Me

Dr Mark was born and raised in Moscow, Russia until she and her family immigrated to US in 1993. She enjoyed school tremendously and graduated junior high school as salutatorian. Subsequently, she attended Midwood High School in Brooklyn. There she split her time between studies in biological sciences, playing volleyball, and doing research at the Down State Medical Center. Her research work in neurobiology has earned her recognition as a semi-finalist in the Westinghouse Talent Search (now known as The Intel Science Talent Search) 1999.
Subsequently, Dr Mark completes her degree in Biology (BS) with honors in psycho-biology research at the SUNY Binghamton University in 2003 and went on to study medicine at the St George’s University School of Medicine in West Indies. In 2007 she got married to her now husband, Dr Kiril Mark, and graduate as a Magna Cum Laude from medical school.
Dr Mark completed her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Geriatrics at SUNY Upstate Medical University and subsequently moved back to NYC to work as an Academic Geriatrician and Palliative Care attending at St Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital. Currently, Dr Mark holds a positions as an Inpatient Site Director for Geriatrics and Palliative Care Medicine at Mount-Sinai Roosevelt Hospital, Medical Director for inpatient Hospice at Mount-Sinai-Roosevelt Hospital, and Project Lead for the IMPACT project for Mount-Sinai-Roosevelt Hospital. Her hobbies include cooking, reading, traveling, and exploring the ever-changing NYC with her husband and their dog, Meeka.
