About Me
Dr. Katherine Ni is an Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine and practices liver medicine at the Mount Sinai Hospital. She has an interest in treating a wide range of patients with liver diseases, including fatty liver disease, viral hepatitis (Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C), alcohol-related liver disease, abnormal liver enzymes, autoimmune liver disease, cirrhosis, portal hypertension, PBC/PSC, Wilson's disease, and other liver-related concerns. Dr. Ni focuses on providing high-quality care to each patient that aligns with up-to-date medical data and guidelines. She prioritizes clear communication, careful listening, and educating her patients about liver conditions. Dr. Ni evaluates patients for liver transplantation when indicated, working in a multi-disciplinary team at the Recanati/Miller Transplantation Institute (RMTI).
Dr. Ni received her medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine residency training at The Mount Sinai Hospital. She went on to complete gastroenterology fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center, and was selected to fast-track into an advanced transplant hepatology fellowship at Montefiore. She has an interest in medical trainee education and research in quality improvement in care of patients with liver cirrhosis.
