About Me

Kaustubh is an MD/PhD student in the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He received his PhD in the Mount Sinai Center for Computational Psychiatry in the field of computational psychiatry with a focus on addictive disorders. He completed his bachelor's degree at Rutgers University, New Brunswick in Cell Biology & Neuroscience and minors in Computer Science and Philosophy.

Broadly, he is interested in understanding the dynamics of brain architecture in psychiatric disorders by studying the underlying cognitive, emotional and social processes. His research utilize computational and statistical modeling to uncover and characterize the hidden variables responsible for maladaptive states in these disorders.
