About Me
Kavitha Ram, MD, MS, is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and maternal-fetal medicine specialist who cares for patients with high-risk and complex pregnancies. She serves as the Medical Director of Labor and Delivery at Mount Sinai West, where she focuses on delivering safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care.
Dr. Ram’s clinical interests include maternal outcomes, fetal growth restriction, and advancing health equity in obstetric care. She is known for her thoughtful, collaborative approach in guiding patients through medically complex pregnancies.
A recognized leader and educator, Dr. Ram has held multiple leadership roles across New York City hospitals and has received the National Excellence in Teaching Award from the Association of Professors of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She serves as a certifying examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and contributes to national efforts in physician education and assessment.
She earned her medical degree from SUNY at Buffalo, completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology there, and went on to complete fellowship training in maternal-fetal medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she also received a Master of Science in Clinical Research.
