About Me
Dr. Kelly Yamada joined the Center for Comparative Medicine and Surgery faculty in October 2021 as an Assistant Professor where she serves as a Clinical Veterinarian specializing in Small Animal Medicine. She maintains a joint faculty appointment in the Department of Cardiology, through which she first joined the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in January 2018 as a member of the Cardiology Laboratory for Translational Research in the Cardiovascular Research Institute. She previously held positions as Clinical Veterinarian at the Institute of Comparative Medicine of Columbia University Medical Center and as Senior Investigator in preclinical Safety Assessment at GlaxoSmithKline. She also completed a research postdoctoral fellowship in Japan at the University of Tokyo through the generosity of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.
