About Me
Kim Derespina, MD is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care in the Jack and Lucy Clark Department of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital. Dr. Derespina received her MD from Stony Brook University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Stony Brook Children’s, where she also served as Chief Resident. She completed her fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. She is board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric critical care medicine. She has previously been on faculty at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore where she also served as the Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship Associate Director.
Dr. Derespina’s clinical focus area includes respiratory failure, specifically acute respiratory distress syndrome.
Her research focus areas include medical education and the use of non-invasive tools to assess hemodynamics.
