About Me
Kimberly Mangla, MD is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. She is currently the Clinical Director of Women’s Mental Health working in collaboration with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She works in collaboration with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in serving patients in the community during the perinatal period. She completed fellowship training in Reproductive Psychiatry and served as the Assistant Director of Education at Columbia University Medical Center. Prior to that, she completed two years of Obstetrics and Gynecology training at Lenox Hill Hospital and went on to complete residency in Psychiatry at Mount Sinai Hospital. Her clinical interests include Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder, Postpartum Psychosis, and Menopause. Her clinical experience includes Psychiatric consultant at Domestic and Other Violence Emergencies Program (DOVE) at New York Presbyterian Hospital and Former Director and Senior Consultant at Riviamind. She has published data on suicide risk in pregnancy and postpartum. Additional experience as expert witness in perinatal forensics. Therapeutic modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dynamic Psychotherapy including Dyadic therapy, and Group Therapy. Previous speaking engagements include advocating for mothers in the workplace during the pandemic, burnout in healthcare, cognition in menopause.
