About Me

Kira Manusis, MD practices comprehensive ophthalmology, cornea and external disease, anterior segment reconstruction and laser vision correction. Dr. Manusis is specializing in all refractive surgeries: PRK, Intralase LASIK. Her specialty surgery includes Penetrating Keratoplasty, Descement Stripping Automated Endothelial Keratoplasty (DSAEK), Cataract Extraction with Intra-Ocular lens implant, including multifocal and Toric lens. In addition she has expertise in laser assisted cataract extraction. Dr. Manusis graduated summa cum laude from Brooklyn College (CUNY) with a Bachelor in Science degree in Biology. She was a recipient of multiple awards including the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Honors Scholarship and Salk Scholarship. She received her MD from New York University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in ophthalmology at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. She then completed a fellowship in cornea, external disease and refractive surgery at the Harkness Eye Institute at the New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia campus. Dr. Manusis is a member of the full time Ophthalmology faculty at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary who is involved in resident education and training. Dr. Manusis also specializes in: laser vision correction, premium intraocular implants, laser assisted cataract surgery, astigmatism correction and corneal transplants.
