About Me
Krish Soundararajan, MD, MBA has joined the Division of Vascular Surgery in the Department of Surgery. He has been appointed as the Chief of Vascular Surgery at Queens Hospital Center and Director of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement for Vascular Services at the Mount Sinai Health System .
Dr. Soundararajan joins us from the Wilmington VA Medical Center in Delaware, where he served as Chief of Surgical Services and Associate Professor at the Temple University School of Medicine. Dr. Soundararajan has led multidisciplinary teams and established robust endovascular programs at the previous institutions he served. He has been very involved in teaching medical students and training residents and fellows throughout his career. Dr. Soundararajan has authored several articles in peer reviewed journals. His clinical interests include surgical and endovascular treatment of aortic, carotid, and peripheral arterial diseases.
Dr. Soundararajan completed his surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Subsequently, he trained in the vascular surgery at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Soundararajan is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow, UK. In addition, he earned an MBA and Health Science Administration from Creighton University, NE.
