Kuhali Kundu, DO, is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and an Assistant Professor in the Raquel and Jaime Gilinski Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Kundu’s practice focuses on general obstetrics and gynecology. She provides comprehensive guidance during prenatal period, and lactation and postpartum support. In addition to providing obstetrical healthcare, Dr. Kundu practices complex gynecology surgery and provides thorough preoperative consultation.
Dr. Kundu received advanced training as an advanced pelvic surgery fellow at operating under the guidance of Gynecology Oncologist at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. During fellowship, she was also responsible for overseeing the care of patients with non-cancerous gynecologic conditions at all Emory University Hospital campuses and at Grady Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Kundu has published and contributed to numerous research articles and book chapters on a variety of topics related but not limited to neonatal brachial plexus injury, and rare gynecological conditions such as acute torsion of uterine remnant leiomyoma, and postmenopausal endometriosis.
Dr. Kundu is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and The Society for Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Kundu earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Albert Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia, where she received the Resident Research Scholarship Award. She is actively involved in medical student and resident education, serving as a mentor and preceptor. Dr. Kundu is passionate about medical education, health literacy, and improving access to medical care. Dr. Kundu is fluent in Bengali.
