About Me

Laura Kovacs, MS, RD, CDN, CDCES, is a Clinical Nutrition Coordinator in the Raquel and Jaime Gilinski Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Ms. Kovacs is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, and a licensed Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist in New York State. She provides outpatient medical nutrition therapy to patients within Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Maternal Fetal Medicine within the Mount Sinai Health System. Ms. Kovacs focuses on diabetes management in pregnancy, prenatal nutrition, and nutrition support after perinatal loss.

Before joining Mount Sinai, Ms. Kovacs provided nutrition education at Montefiore Medical Center. Ms. Kovacs earned her undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Rhode Island in 2013. She then went on to earn her Master of Science in Nutrition from Long Island University in 2016.
