About Me
Lauren Abrams, CNM, MSN, FACNM, is a certified nurse midwife who serves as a staff midwife at The Mount Sinai Hospital. In this role, Ms. Abrams provides full-scope midwifery care, including gynecological and reproductive care, attending births, and labor management. Ms. Abrams also provides prenatal and postpartum care for both low risk patients.
Ms. Abrams received her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Nursing in 1992 and 1993 from the Nurse-Midwifery Program at Yale University School for Nursing. She went on to receive her Certification in Nursing and Midwifery in 1993. Prior to joining Mount Sinai, Ms. Abrams served as a staff midwife at The Door Adolescent Health Center in New York, NY. From 1988 to 1990, Ms. Abrams served in the Peace Corps in Mauritiana. Ms. Abrams received the American College of Nurse Midwives Outstanding Preceptor Award in 2011 and 2013.
Ms. Abrams became a Fellow of the American College of Nurse Midwives in 2022.
