About Me
Dr. Le Yu Khine joined Mount Sinai as an Endocrinologist in 2023. After earning her medical degree from University of Medicine in Yangon, Burma, Dr. Khine completed leadership training at East West Center in Hawaii. She then completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Richmond University Medical Center before moving to Marshall University for her fellowship in Endocrinology. Dr. Khine is a triple board-certified physician in Internal Medicine, Obesity Medicine, and Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism and is bilingual, with the ability to communicate with patients in both English and Burmese.
Prior to joining Mount Sinai, Dr. Khine worked at UPMC Williamsport where she served as Chief of Endocrinology and was actively involved in teaching family medicine residents. She has been recognized by the American Academy of Family Physicians, as well as the UPMC Williamsport Family Medicine program as an active teacher in the field. Additionally, Dr. Khine has been involved in several different research projects and won multiple awards and scholarships throughout her career.
In her practice, Dr. Khine works together with each patient to achieve exceptional care and create a simplified treatment plan. Outside of her time with patients, she is an avid traveler who loves painting, cooking, and outdoor activities.
