About Me
Lee Hinnant, MD is a caring and diligent primary care and functional medicine physician serving the community of New York City. She completed her undergraduate degree in history of science and medicine at Yale College in three years. Dr. Hinnant attended Eastern Virginia Medical School where she received her medical degree. She then completed an internship and a residency in urban family practice at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan where she also served as chief resident. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and the Institute for Functional Medicine. She has also served as an assistant professor in family medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School. She has won numerous awards including the Patient's Choice Award and the Compassionate Doctor Award which are awarded to the top two percent of physicians in the nation. Dr. HInnant was also named a Top Doctor for the state of Virginia. Dr. Hinnant is committed to helping her patients enjoy a healthier lifestyle. She has special interests in women’s health, psychosocial medicine, and functional medicine including delving into the root cause of disease.
