About Me
Dr. Amoruso obtained his bachelor's degree in Biology from SUNY- Stony Brook in 2005. He then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Nutrition from Columbia University in 2006. He attended New York College of Osteopathic Medicine with a graduating degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2010. His Internal Medicine residency training was performed at Beth Israel Medical Center from 2010-2013 with an additional year as Chief resident from 2013-2014. After completion of residency and chief year he stayed on as a primary care physician at General Medical Associates located in Mount Sinai Downtown at Union Square. He established a high risk/high utilizer clinic known as the PACT clinic (Preventable Admissions Care Team) at General Medical Associates. He previously served as the Clinical Director of the PACT clinic as well as the Associate Medical Director for General Medical Associates. He currently is the Medical Director for General Medical Associates in addition to the Division Chief for General Internal Medicine.

My MD is an excellent Doctor indeed good listener and take steps for me to understand my situation and find solutions for my present situation ordering test and referral me to get test done. He promised me to call with the results of my test. And make changes on some medications. I really appreciate him as a doctor hopefully the changes he makes will help me with my present situation. I recommend my Doctor always, even though I know he has a lot of patients to see. I appreciate him, his patience and kindness. He is very accurate and is a great add to the primary care.
Doctor Amoruso is one of the best doctors I have ever seen: interested in my issues; very knowledgeable about every issue I raised; and provided a multitude of options for each, outlining the pros & cons for each.
