About Me

Dr. Buscemi is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Dermatology at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

 

In 1992, Dr. Buscemi completed her B.S cum laude with a major in Biology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.  Following her undergraduate studies, she attended New York Medical College graduating in 1996.  During the following year she was an Internal Medicine intern at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and upon completion of that program, entered her dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 1997.  During her final year she served as Chief Resident from 19999-2000.  Dr. Buscemi was the recipient of numerous awards being elected president of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society (1995-1996) while at New York Medical College, the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation (1996), and a three-year Trustee Scholar Award (1192-1995).  Dr. Buscemi was elected to the Sigma Beta Honor Society while an undergraduate (1992).  She is Board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is licensed to practice Medicine in New York State.

 

Since completing her formal education, Dr. Buscemi has practiced general dermatology and dermatologic surgery, presenting in private practice.
