About Me
Dr. Lidia Mikolaenko began practicing Family Medicine in 2018. After graduating from her undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia, Dr. Mikolaenko earned her medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed a residency in Pediatric Medicine at Toledo University Medical Center before moving to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center for a second residency in Family Medicine. With her board certification by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Mikolaenko's clinical interests include preventative care, women's care, weight management, and wellness.
Before joining Mount Sinai in 2022, Dr. Mikolaenko spent four years practicing Family Medicine at Hartford Healthcare in Vernon, Connecticut. In her professional community, she is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. Additionally, she is bilingual and can communicate with her patients in both English and Ukrainian.
When working with her patients, Dr. Mikolaenko advises them to "make time for yourself and your healthcare, and you will be the best version of yourself!" Outside of her time in medicine, Dr. Mikolaenko enjoys hiking, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her husband and young daughter.
