About Me
Linda Li, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Division of Pediatric Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital. Dr. Li received her medical degree and completed her general surgery training at the Baylor College of Medicine. She completed her pediatric surgery fellowship at New York Presbyterian/Columbia University in 2019. She also completed a Master of Science in Biomedical Informatics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, School of Biomedical Informatics. Dr. Li is board certified as a general and pediatric surgeon, and she is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is also an active member of the American Pediatric Surgical Association.
Dr. Li is experienced in a broad spectrum of pediatric surgical issues. Her area of clinical and academic interest is in congenital colorectal diseases such as anorectal malformation and Hirshsprung’s disease. Dr. Li established and leads the Congenital Colorectal and Bowel Management clinic at Mount Sinai which provides surgical subspecialty care for both New York and New Jersey children. Dr. Li’s prior work in health services research and quality improvement has fueled her passion to improve healthcare delivery. Her prior work examining surgical outcomes and readmissions in colorectal cancer patients lead to over 17 peer-reviewed and 9 first author publications. She was awarded a KL-2 Mentored Career Development through the Center for Clinical and Translational Science while at UTHealth. Dr. Li is also interested in planetary health and sustainable healthcare delivery.
Dr. Li strives to provide excellent care for all patients under her purview. She believes that it is important to include the family in healthcare decision-making through careful counseling and open communication. She is also interested in resident education, including mentorship of aspiring women surgeons.
