Research
adult cardiac stem cells in the healthy and injured heart.
Our main goal is to unravel paracrine signals that can enhance cardiac
regeneration after injury. Therefore, we are using modified mRNA as a novel
gene delivery tool to locally up-regulate or down-regulate paracrine factors
after myocardial infarction in small and large animal models.
