Lonnie Embleton, PhD

About Me

Lonnie Embleton, MPH, PhD is an Assistant Professor and Adolescent Health Advisor at the Arnhold Institute for Global Health at Mount Sinai and for the Department of Global Health and Health System Design. She is passionate about generating high quality evidence to improve health, economic, and social outcomes for underserved adolescents to advance health equity. For over 10 years she has conducted research in Kenya with street-connected children and youth and orphaned and vulnerable children, emphasizing sexual and reproductive health, HIV, human rights, gender equity, and structural and social determinants of health. Presently, her research is focused on redressing health and social inequities to improve access, uptake, and delivery of health services to underserved young people in resource-constrained settings.
