Dr. Louis Spina attended Tufts University School of Medicine graduating in 2000. Dr. Spina completed his residency in Pediatrics at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in 2003 and a Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship at New York University / Bellevue Hospital Center in 2006. Dr. Spina returned to Mount Sinai after completing his fellowship training and has been part of the Department of Emergency Medicine since 2006. He currently serves as the Program Director for the Fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and as the Director of Quality Improvement for Pediatric Emergency Medicine. His current interests include patient quality and safety, the patient experience, medical education, and pediatric sepsis.
