About Me
Lyz Annette López, MD, is a board certified obstetrician-gynecologist in the Raquel and Jaime Gilinski Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. López’s practice focuses on general obstetrics and gynecology, with special interest in providing comprehensive pregnancy care, family planning, and performing minimally invasive gynecologic procedures.
Prior to joining Mount Sinai, Dr. López served at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, where she played an integral role as an attending physician in both the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the OBGYN Residency Program. Dr. López was also a member of the Clinical Competency Committee for the OBGYN Residency.
Dr. López earned her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan, where she graduated magna cum laude. She then completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine where in 2021 she was awarded the Resident Achievement Award in Minimally Invasive Surgery by the Society of Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgeons.
Dr. López is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is also a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists as well as the Society of Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgeons.
Dr. López is fluent in English and Spanish.
