About Me
Dr. Maekal Elyasi joined Mount Sinai as in Internist in 2020. After graduating with his doctorate degree from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Elyasi completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Winthrop University Hospital. He then moved to Northwell Manhasset as a Clinical Research Fellow. Dr. Elyasi is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and can communicate with patients in both English and Farsi.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Elyasi has multiple publications in prestigious medical journals, including in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. Outside of his time with patients, Dr. Elyasi enjoys sports, fitness, travel, and charity work, including volunteering as a mentor in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program.
