About Me
A New York native, Dr. Tapper attended Brooklyn College, where she was elected Phi Beta Kappa, won the prestigious Elise Tobin Award in Chemistry, and graduated Summa Cum Laude. After completing medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Medical School, she attended the SUNY Health Science Center Downstate in Brooklyn for her ophthalmology residency, where she was selected Chief Resident in her senior year. After finishing her Ophthalmology residency, she completed a fellowship in glaucoma (also at the SUNY Health Science Center Downstate), where she then stayed on as an Assistant Instructor in Ophthalmology. Dr. Tapper has been in private practice for many years. Most recently, she served as an attending physician in ophthalmology at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, from 2007 to 2010. Her areas of interest include general ophthalmology, no-stitch cataract surgery, laser eye surgery, and trabeculoplasty. She enjoys general ophthalmology because it allows her to spend time with her patients and form close relationships with them.

Industry Relationships
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device and biotechnology companies to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their relationships with such companies.
Dr. TAPPER-ROSENBERG has not yet completed reporting of Industry relationships.
Mount Sinai's faculty policies relating to faculty collaboration with industry are posted on our website. Patients may wish to ask their physician about the activities they perform for companies.
