About Me
Dr. Alvarez graduated in 1996 with a B.S. degree in microbiology and philosophy from the University of Miami at Coral Gables and completed her studies for her D.O. degree at NY College of Osteopathic Medicine in Westbury in 2003. Following this, Dr. Alvarez did a one-year internship at Maimonides Medical Center before starting her dermatology residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn. During her final residency year, Dr. Alvarez was appointed Chief Resident, graduating in 2007. Later that year she was board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology. Dr. Alvarez is licensed to practice medicine in New York State.
