Margaret Furman, MD

About Me

Dr. Furman is an attending physician at the Mount Sinai Beth Israel serving as the Director of Preventive Cardiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. She is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Icahn School of Medicine.

Dr. Furman is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and vascular interpretation. She specializes in preventive cardiology, general cardiology cardiac rehabilitation, and echocardiography. She also has an interest in women's cardiac health as a member of Women's Heart NY.

She earned her medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School. She then went on to complete an internal medicine residency program at Albert Einstein -- Montefiore Medical Center and a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
