About Me
Dr. Pilar Trelles is a child and adolescent psychiatrist, and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Trelles has specialized training in autism and developmental disabilities. She splits her time between conducting patient-oriented research at the Seaver Autism Center at Mount Sinai Hospital, and providing clinical care at the Developmental Disability Center at Mount Sinai West. Her research is dedicated to improving outcomes for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). She focuses in characterizing healthcare disparities populations with ASD to identify health problems and pockets of need in healthcare delivery systems. Dr. Trelles received the Klingenstein Third Generation Fellowship Award in Access to Care, and has been recipient of other important awards for junior investigators.
