Mariel Gallego, Ph.D. earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the New School for Social Research and completed her pre-doctoral internship and dual psychology fellowship in Addictions and Personality Disorders at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in NYC. Dr. Gallego has a certificate in Relational Psychotherapy from the Steven Mitchell Center. She has been a supervising psychologist at the Institute for Advanced Medicine at Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital since 2013 and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine since 2015. She is a certified mindfulness meditation teacher, trained by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach through the Awareness Training Institute and the University of California at Berkeley Greater Good Science Center
