About Me
Dr. Mark Stein began practicing as a Urologist in 1990 and joined Mount Sinai Doctors in 2023. After completing his undergraduate studies at Brooklyn College, Dr. Stein earned his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. He then pursued two residencies with Montefiore Medical Center in General Surgery and Urology, respectively. To finish his training, Dr. Stein completed a mini fellowship in Neurology and Female Urology. With his board certification by the American Board of Urology, Dr. Stein's clinical interests include incontinence and sexual dysfunction. Additionally, Dr. Stein is bilingual and can communicate with patients in English and Russian.
In conjunction with his clinical role, Dr. Stein plays an active part in academia as a Clinical Instructor. He also has an extensive history of research on topics such as the use of Botox for the treatment of incontinence.
In his professional community, Dr. Stein is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Urological Association, the Society of Urodynamics and Female Urology, and the Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons.
Outside of his time with patients, Dr. Stein enjoys hiking. He is also excitedly awaiting the arrival of his first grandchild!
