About Me

Dr. Sparks is Director of Psychology at the Institute for Advanced Medicine and Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery, and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Her clinical and leadership work focuses on the integration of physical and behavioral healthcare, with an emphasis on the treatment of HIV. She is an expert in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, and a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers. Dr. Sparks provides individual therapy to adults and older adults and has a special interest in serving members of the LGBTQ+ community.

The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey.
