About Me
Dr. Mateusz Ciejka is an attending physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai Queens Hospital. He was born in Poland and was raised in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated with General Honors from the University of Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences and a specialization in endocrinology. He then obtained his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the Detroit Receiving Hospital/Detroit Medical Center. His medical interests include toxicology and medical education. Dr. Ciejka has been awarded on numerous occasions by medical students for excellence in teaching. He currently assists in supervising and assessing the clinical performance of physician assistants within the emergency department. Dr. Ciejka has published work in the field of toxicology. He is fluent in Polish. He is a board-certified emergency medicine physician.
