About Me
Dr. Mathew Birnbaum began practicing as a Dermatologist in 2019 and joined Mount Sinai in 2022. After graduating from his undergraduate studies at Cornell University, Dr. Birnbaum earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He then completed a Dermatology research fellowship at the same institution before moving to Mount Sinai Beth Israel for his internship in Internal Medicine. To complete his training, Dr. Birnbaum returned to Montefiore/Albert Einstein College of Medicine for his residency in Dermatology.
Dr. Birnbaum is a Fellow of the American Board of Dermatology, as well as a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Contact Dermatitis Society. Additionally, his past research and publications have focused on oncodermatology. His publication topics include radiation dermatitis, vitiligo, and dermatologic reactions to cancer therapies.
Outside of his time with patients, Dr. Birnbaum enjoys comedy, film, volleyball, and fitness.
