About Me


Dr. Matthew J. Lin is Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology in the Kimberly and Eric J. Waldman Department of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.  He is dual fellowship trained in both dermatologic surgery and Mohs micrographic surgery.

Dr. Lin is a recognized expert in basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma, Mohs micrographic surgery, reconstructive surgery, cosmetic surgery and scar management.  He has received multiple grants and awards for his clinical and translational research in the field.  His work has been published extensively in the medical literature including in Clinics in Dermatology, Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery, Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery, Journal of Dermatologic Treatment, Cutis, British Medical Journal and Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology.  As part of his academic activities he serves on the editorial board for several journals including Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Lin is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. He is a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
