About Me
Dr. Matthew Marks is a Pediatric Hospitalist in the Pediatric Emergency Department and Observation unit at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. He is a lifelong New Yorker and attended Columbia University graduating with a B.A. in Biology in 2004. After working in a Microbiology/Immunology laboratory at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he co-authored multiple peer-reviewed journal articles, he then stayed at the same institution and achieved his Medical Degree (M.D.) in 2012. Dr. Marks went on to complete his residency training in Pediatrics at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center in 2015. Prior to joining the faculty at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in 2017, Dr. Marks held the positions of Assistant Attending in Pediatrics at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and Lower Manhattan Hospital and Instructor in Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Marks has a supreme interest in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and will be starting PEM Fellowship at Jacobi Medical Center in July 2020.
As a lifelong New Yorker, Dr. Marks relishes the opportunity to deliver pediatric care to such a diverse population. He enjoys working closely with patients and families and being a member of a medical team providing inclusive and comprehensive care.
