About Me
Meg A. Rosenblatt, MD, FASA, FASRA earned her MD from New York Medical College and completed her residency training in anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Hospital. She currently is Professor of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine and Orthopedics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and serves as Deputy System Chair and Site Chair of Anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West.

An early adopter of ultrasound-guided regional anesthesiology, Dr. Rosenblatt introduced this technology to the Division of Orthopedic and Regional Anesthesia at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she served as Director for over two decades. She has authored more than 60 papers and case reports and has taught ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks and point-of-care ultrasound workshops nationally and internationally. The Icahn School has recognized her as a Master Clinician.
Dr. Rosenblatt’s academic career reflects sustained leadership in national professional organizations. Through the Society for Education in Anesthesia, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and the Post Graduate Assembly in Anesthesiology, she advanced from committee leadership roles to chairing their annual national meetings. In recognition of her contributions, she received the Distinguished Service Medal from the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists in 2023.
Dr. Rosenblatt has contributed extensively to certification and assessment in anesthesiology, serving as a question writer and examiner for the oral exam of the American Board of Anesthesiology, as well as a senior editor of the Basic Exam, and a member of the NEST committee, which is responsible for selection and training of new oral examiners.
