Melissa Enama Bair, CNM

Melissa Bair, CNM, WHNP-BC, is a certified nurse midwife who serves as the Director of Midwifery Services at The Mount Sinai Hospital. In this role, Ms. Bair manages a team of midwives, as well as takes a clinical role in direct patient care. Ms. Bair has an extensive background in reproductive health care, family planning, antepartum care, postpartum care, and breastfeeding support, and specializes in natural childbirth.

Ms. Bair received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Columbia University School of Nursing in 2005. She went on to receive her Master of Science degree in Nursing, Nurse Midwifery, and Women’s Health Nurse Practioner from Columbia University in 2007. Prior to joining Mount Sinai, Ms. Bair served as a midwife at Jacobi Medical Center, LoMa Ob/GYN & Midwifery, and Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. Ms. Bair has served her professional organization as a past Co-Chair of NYC Midwives.
