About Me
Dr. Micaela Bayard joined Mount Sinai as a Rheumatologist in 2017, and is now an Associate Professor of Medicine at The Icahn School of Medicine. After completing her undergraduate studies at Brown University, Dr. Bayard graduated with her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. She then completed her residency in Internal Medicine at NY Presbyterian Queens before continuing on to her fellowship in Rheumatology at Mount Sinai Hospital. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.
In conjunction with her clinical role, Dr. Bayard is committed to providing patient-centered and goal-concordant care to the diverse needs of the community. She has a special interest in lupus advocacy and is the founder of a lupus support group at her hospital and a lupus health equity board in Queens.
Dr. Bayard is a member of the American College of Rheumatology, the Association of Women in Rheumatology, and the National Medical Association.
