About Me
Dr. Michael Frey has practiced OB/GYN medicine since 2002. After completing his undergraduate studies at Brandeis University, Dr. Frey graduated with his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine. He then completed his OB/GYN residency at North Shore University Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. With his board certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Frey focuses on advancing women's care by taking into account the science coupled with the benefits of exercise, personal safety, and proper nutrition.
Before joining Mount Sinai in 2019, Dr. Frey served as an attending physician and assistant professor at the Einstein College of Medicine of Montefiore Medical Center. He has won numerous teaching, research, and clinical awards throughout his years in practice.
Dr. Frey is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. He is also active in his community, having mentored the Women's Healthy Summer Program and provided free care for women of underserved communities. Outside of his time in the office, Dr. Frey enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, as well as spending time running, playing the saxophone, and publishing two science fiction novels.
