About Me
Dr. Michael Gerdis has practiced Gastroenterology for over 30 years and joined Mount Sinai as a Gastroenterologist in 2017. After graduating with his medical degree from NYU School of Medicine, Dr. Gerdis completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Luke's Hospital. He then moved to Long Island Jewish Medical Center for his fellowship in Gastroenterology. With his board certification by the American Board of Gastroenterology, Dr. Gerdis has patients visit him for a wide spectrum of medical needs, including hemorrhoids, diarrhea, nausea, stomach ulcers, and blood in stool. He is also bilingual and can also communicate with patients in both English and Spanish.
In his professional community, Dr. Gerdis is an active member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the NY Society for Gastroenterology and Endoscopy.
