About Me
Dr. Michael Friedman joined Mount Sinai as a Cardiologist in 2016. After graduating from SUNY Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine with his doctorate with distinction in research, Dr. Friedman moved to North Shore University Hospital for his residency in Internal Medicine. He went on to serve as Chief Resident during his final year before remaining at North Shore for his Cardiology fellowship. To complete his training, Dr. Friedman moved to Lenox Hill Hospital for another fellowship in Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Friedman is currently board eligible in Internal Medicine and Cardiology, and specializes in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, Cardiac CT, and sports cardiology.
In addition to his clinical role, Dr. Friedman holds several medical patents and has an academic appointment with the Division of Cardiology at NYU School of Medicine. He is also an active member of both the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians.
When with his patients, Dr. Friedman can speak both English and Spanish.
