About Me
Dr. Michelle Gaba is an attending physician in the Pediatric Emergency Department and Pediatric Short Stay Unit at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, and holds a dual faculty appointment as Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Medical Education at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Gaba’s clinical research interests are in the areas of health care disparities, neonatal and pediatric resuscitation skills and quality improvement. She currently serves as the Clinical Site Director for the 3rd Year General Pediatric Clerkship.
Dr. Gaba received her undergraduate degrees in biology, psychology and the interdisciplinary field of health: science, society, policy from Brandeis University in Massachusetts and her combined medical degree and masters in public health from Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Gaba completed her pediatric residency at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center, affiliated with New York Medical College. She completed her fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. Following this training, she joined the Pediatric Faculty in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in 2015. She is fluent in Russian and Hebrew, and medically proficient in Spanish.
