About Me
Dr. Milana Zaurova is an alum of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai via the Humanities and Medicine Program. She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine and fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is dual boarded in Emergency Medicine and Palliative Care. Dr. Zaurova joined NYC Health & Hospitals' subsidiary OneCity Health in 2019 to lead a task force aimed at enhancing palliative care services across the NYC public health system. She is fluent in Russian, Spanish, English, and is conversational in Portuguese.

Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology companies, and other outside entities to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their outside financial relationships.
