About Me
My group works on developing molecular tools and bioanalytical strategies that enable a deeper understanding and effective treatments of human diseases, such as cancer.
Specifically, we are interested in the following areas:
- Interrogation and interpretation of cell metabolic activities and protein signaling dynamics with single-cell resolution, with the goal of identifying potential disease vulnerabilities.
- Expanding the repertoire of multicyclic peptides to access unique 3D diversifiable chemical space, with the aim of facilitating drug discovery.
- Creating therapeutic and diagnostic tools targeting protein-protein interactions, with a focus on the “undruggable” intrinsically disordered proteins, such as MYC and MYCN.
- Establishing a panel of peptide-based delivery tags that can deliver drug molecules to specific locations at the intracellular, cellular, and organ levels.
Overall, we take a collaborative and convergent approach and innovate through the interdisciplinary sciences involving bioanalytical methods, chemical biology, drug discovery, medicinal chemistry, systems biology, and cancer biology.

Industry Relationships
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology companies, and other outside entities to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their outside financial relationships.
Dr. Xue has not yet completed reporting of Industry relationships.
Mount Sinai’s faculty policies relating to faculty collaboration with industry are posted on our website. Patients may wish to ask their physician about the activities they perform for companies.
