About Me
Miriam Sivkin, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist whose areas of concentration are sexual health and menopause transition at The Mount Sinai Hospital in the Raquel and Jaime Gilinski Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Dr. Sivkin earned her medical degree from Icahn School of Medicine. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at State University Hospital at State University New York, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Sivkin received post graduate training at Florida Postgraduate Sex Therapy Training Institute in Palm Beach, Florida, where she was certified as a Medical Sex Therapist. Dr. Sivkin also is a Certified Menopause Provider and an American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists reviewer.
Dr. Sivkin is the author of From A to Z: Everything You Need to Know About HPV (2011). She is currently completing Special Delivery, a forthcoming book that highlights the experiences of women and their families during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period amid the COVID-19 pandemic. She is also writing a new book, Sexy Sixties, which focuses on sexual health in the senior population. In addition to her writing, Dr. Sivkin has presented extensively on the diagnosis and treatment of sexual dysfunction.
Dr. Sivkin is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of several professional organizations, including the Society for Sex Therapy and Research, the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists, the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health, and The Menopause Society.
