About Me
Dr. Mohamed Ghafar is an accomplished OB-GYN specialist and urogynecologist looking after the people of NY. Dr. Ghafar attended the Alexandria University Faculty of Medicine, where he was honored with his medical degree. He then completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Mount Sinai Queens. Further, he completed a fellowship in urogynecology at the Louisiana State University.
Dr. Ghafar is board certified in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. He is a member of the American Urogynecologic Society and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. He is available for exams and consultations at his own practice: M. Ghafar. He welcomes patients who speak in English and spanish. Patients visit him for a wide spectrum of common and specialized medical needs, including menstrual problems, urinary tract infections, birth control, fibroids, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries. He is eager to be able to serve women at all stages of life.
