Mona Krouss joined the faculty of Icahn School of Medicine in 2016. She completed her medical school and internal medicine residency training at the University of Maryland, and completed a Chief Medicine year focusing in quality and safety. She is the Senior Director in Patient Safety for the entire NYC Health + Hospitals system since 2019. Her research focuses on the overlap of high value care and patient safety.

Industry Relationships
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device and biotechnology companies to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their relationships with such companies.
