About Me
Dr. Monica Gibilisco is a fellowship-trained physician specializing in Sports Medicine and Interventional Spine.
She earned her undergraduate degree from The George Washington University and her medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Gibilisco completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. She then pursued an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Sports Medicine and Interventional Spine at Mount Sinai. During her training, she contributed to the medical care of elite athletes, including USA Fencing and participants in the NYRR NYC Marathon. She has authored multiple textbook chapters, participated in numerous research projects and IRB studies, and presented at national conferences.
Dr. Gibilisco is experienced in treating a wide range of both acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries. She is skilled in ultrasound-guided peripheral joint and soft tissue injections, fluoroscopically-guided spine interventions, and regenerative medicine techniques such as PRP. Her approach emphasizes individualized treatment plans that integrate therapies, medications, and procedural interventions to optimize function and help patients return to an active lifestyle.
